What happens after my account is approved?

Once your account is approved, you will receive a welcome email with your login credentials. You will also receive a separate password reset email. After setting your password, you can log in to Uptex Exchange at ex.uptex.com.

Your first step after logging in is to whitelist your bank accounts and/or crypto wallets, then transfer your initial funds to begin trading.

How do I receive my trading credentials?

After your account has been approved and your initial funds have been received, trading credentials will be issued to all authorised dealers on the account.

Please contact support@uptex.com once your funds have been sent to ensure there is no delay in account creation.

How do I access the trading platform?

Access Uptex Exchange at ex.uptex.com from any web browser. The platform automatically adjusts to your device.

For mobile access, add ex.uptex.com to your home screen:

  • Chrome (Android): Menu → Add to Home Screen
  • Safari (iOS): Share → Add to Home Screen

Account Management

How do I access my account dashboard?

Your account dashboard is accessible directly from the trading platform at ex.uptex.com. Click on the dashboard icon in the left sidebar, or navigate to the Overview section.

From the dashboard you can:

  • Review your open positions and unrealized PnL
  • View total account value
  • Download account statements
  • Access Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs)
  • Whitelist bank accounts and wallets
  • Submit withdrawal requests
Can I add an additional authorised person to my account?

Yes. Changes to authorised individuals can be made at any time. Depending on the level of authorisation, you may need to submit a completed and signed Corporate Account Authorisation Card.

To add or remove any authorised signatory, dealer, operator, or technology provider, send a request from your entity's directors to support@uptex.com. Please include:

  • Individual's full name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Type of authority required
What are the types of authorisation?

There are six types of authorisation available on the account:

  • Authorised Signatory - Can enter into and execute agreements on behalf of the account holder.
  • Authorised Dealer - Can execute trades, request inter-account transfers, and manage clients.
  • Authorised Operator - Can request and receive account statements and respond to general queries.
  • Authorised Technology Provider - Can request and receive account information and respond to technical queries.
  • Director - An official registered director of the account holder entity.
  • Beneficial Owner - An individual owning or controlling 25% or more of the account holder.
How do I download account statements?

Account statements are available the following business day. Authorised individuals can access them by logging into the dashboard at ex.uptex.com.

  1. Navigate to Overview and click Generate Statement
  2. Select your date range and format (PDF)
  3. Click Generate Statement

Do you provide daily swap rates and digital asset financing?

Yes. Swap rates and digital asset financing information are sent on a daily basis. Contact support@uptex.com to be added to the distribution list.

Deposits & Funding

What currencies are accepted for deposits?

Fiat currencies accepted:

USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, CHF, CZK, DKK, HKD, HUF, ILS, JPY, MXN, NOK, NZD, PLN, SEK, SGD, TRY, ZAR

Digital assets accepted:

  • BTC - Bitcoin
  • ETH - Ethereum
  • USDT - Tether (ERC20 and TRC20)
  • USDC - USD Coin (ERC20)

All digital asset deposits are handled through trusted custodians. Fiat deposits are processed via banking partners with no hidden fees.

Where can I find the Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs)?

SSIs are available in two places:

  1. On the platform - Log in to ex.uptex.com, navigate to Deposits, and click Standard Settlement Instructions.
  2. On our website - Visit docs.ex.uptex.com/ssi/ for full SSI details.
How do I fund my account?

Navigate to Deposits in your dashboard. You have three options:

  • Bank Transfer - Deposit fiat from your whitelisted bank account
  • Crypto Transfer - Deposit crypto from your whitelisted wallet
  • Standard Settlement Instructions - View bank details for wire transfers

How do I whitelist a bank account?

Navigate to Bank Accounts in the left sidebar and click Add Bank Account. Complete the 3-step process:

  1. Enter bank details: friendly name, currency, bank name, SWIFT code, IBAN
  2. Add correspondent or intermediary bank details if applicable
  3. Upload proof of ownership (bank statement or confirmation letter)

Your request will be reviewed and approved within 1-2 business days. Only whitelisted and approved bank accounts can be used for transfers.

How do I whitelist a crypto wallet?

Navigate to Wallets in the left sidebar and click Add Wallet Address. Provide the following:

  • Friendly name
  • Wallet type
  • Blockchain network
  • Asset
  • Wallet address
  • Tag / memo (if required by the network)

Accept the terms and conditions certifying ownership. You may optionally upload proof of ownership.

Important: Only funds from whitelisted wallets will be accepted. Funds from centralised exchanges (custodial wallets) are not accepted - you must use a wallet where you hold the private keys or a regulated custodian.
What types of wallets are accepted?

Not accepted: Funds from centralised exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, etc.) are not accepted, as these route withdrawals through omnibus wallets.

Withdrawals

How do I make a withdrawal?

Navigate to Withdrawals in your dashboard. Choose from:

  • Bank Account - Withdraw fiat to your whitelisted bank account
  • Crypto Wallet - Withdraw crypto to your whitelisted wallet address
  • Internal Transfer - Move funds between accounts (no external transaction)

Select your asset, enter the amount, choose your whitelisted destination, and submit.

Does Uptex Exchange offer API connectivity?

Yes. Uptex Exchange offers FIX API and WebSocket API connectivity, allowing clients to connect directly to the trading system, subscribe to market data, and place orders programmatically.

What does the Open API offer?

The Open API provides real-time access to your balances, trades, and positions. Features include:

  • Real-time data retrieval for balances, trades, and positions
  • Streamlined portfolio management and reporting
  • Secure access with robust security protocols

To request access, submit the API access request form including your IP address to whitelist:

What is the process for FIX API integration?

To connect via FIX API:

  1. Request the FIX API Trading Questionnaire from support@uptex.com
  2. Complete and return the questionnaire
  3. UAT FIX credentials will be issued
  4. Complete the conformance test and provide relevant FIX logs
  5. Upon approval, live FIX credentials will be issued linked to your trading account

If using a third-party technology provider that has been previously integrated, UAT is not required - live FIX API credentials can be issued directly.

What is the difference between FIX API and WebSocket?

FIX API and WebSocket are two different IT protocols for communicating prices and orders.

  • FIX API - Typically used by traditional financial institutions and prime brokerages
  • WebSocket API - Preferred by some crypto-native firms and algorithmic trading systems

Both protocols are fully supported on Uptex Exchange.

Scheduled maintenance notifications are sent every Thursday. Authorised signatories, dealers, and operators are automatically added to the notification list.
